Restoring The Grave

Caradog’s gravestone is a landmark in Trecynon cemetery.

As you can see from the photographs, there is some damage to the gravestone. At present our bard is missing his nose. Also due to the location of the grave, positioned beneath an overhanging tree it has become heavily discoloured on one side. We are raising money to help restore this magnificent tombstone to its original condition.

Having contacted a local stone masons, the job has been quoted as costing £*****. We have begun our fundraising efforts but if you have some other suggestions, or you would like to help out in any way possible, please join us at one of our meetings. There will be enough tea and biscuits to sink a battleship!
